Cruise Captain & Admiral

Don Conner

Many thanks to our Cruise Captain and Cruise Admiral, Don & Lynn. Behind every man is a successful woman. Thanks for a great cruise.

We started out headed for Queenstown Cr.; but, found it too crowded for our 6 boats. We opted to head for Reed Cr. and happy we were.  It was a great anchorage. Present were: Adventure, Cheri Lynn, Dyanna, Pallas Athena, Lady Z, and Warr de Mar.

Second day was our old favorite Bodkin Cr. There we were joined by 3 other boats: Stargazer II, Wind Dragon, and Event Horizon

The weather cooperated all weekend with winds each day and bearable temps.  Monday morn brought a thick fog on the Bay. We made it across the shipping channels just before a big ship went through. Phew!

Enjoy the pictures contributed by Adventure and Warr de Mar.

Roger was so excited to start the cruise, he couldn't get to sleep Friday eve. on Warr de Mar Reed Cr. was a beautiful place with only a few houses, lots of trees, and good depth This is the view from Reed Cr. through the entrance. It's tricky, but we all made it in.
Kevin and family enjoy their 1st cruise on their brand, spank'n new, C309, "Pallas Athena." A fine and pretty one she be. With the Sun low in the sky and the cocktail hour upon us, Roger-That is ready to party. "Shiver me timbers," he says; and, "fill 'er up." Sidney says, "Shiver me whatever.  Methinks it's time for another dinghy ride."
Day two dawns and the Fleet makes preparations to get underway for Bodkin Cr.  Actually, day two has well more than "dawned."  We rarely get moving much before 11am.
Underway on the Chester R. Not much wind out here today. But, we're hopeful. Our Cruise Captains lead the way down the Bay.
Roger says, "I'm sailing!" Just as in What About Bob Capt'n John calls this "Babes on waves." Indeed, Capt'n John. More decorum please Once on Bodkin, it's time to socalize with a gathering on "Stargazer II"
Doug & Zadi enjoy the scintillating conversation. Don and Doug sure look the part of the confident captain, especially while at anchor (:>) Jeff works on the windscoop on "Event Horizon" attempting to convince himself that he remembers how he did it last year
