Introduction:
We welcome all people of all ages with an interest
in sailing whether boat owner or not. Each of us started out not knowing
a fig about boats and sailing. Everyone has to start somewhere. Why
not start with us? On this site you'll find information about us, and
our activities, along with descriptions of our events.
What's
New:
--> Fleet
8 Google Group: C25Fleet8
- We now have a Fleet 8 group at Google. All 2009 members and
their crew for whom we have an e-mail address have been added.
Any discussion initiated in the group will be sent to every member of
the group. Members can reply or just follow the discussion.
If a member has or creates a Google Account, they can manage their own
profile, change e-mail, upload and download files, etc. Let's
see if this works for us.
--> The
Mid-Winter Dinner is History
- We had a good turnout at Vinnie's in Dundalk. As usual the food
was great. We settled our calendar for the 2010 season which you
can view by Clicking Here. We ended
rather abruptly so everyone could get home in time to see the Ravens
romp over the Colts. NOT!
--> The
latest edition of the Fleet Log is out
- with several interesting stories and explanation of the C25Fleet8
Google Group. If you missed your copy, be sure to contact the
Fleet Secretary for a copy.
--> Member of
the Year -
See the frame below on this page for details.
--> And Welcome
Our Newest New Members
- And, yet another new member. Winnie Nissley on "BERT &
ERNIE," pier 7 at Maryland Marina joined our Fleet and went on
the Fowl Weather Cruise to Worton Creek. Welcome aboard Winnie,
Bert and Ernie.

2009
Member of the Year Award
Goes to Mark Rapkins
Norma Stumpp, of Adventure, and the
2007 recipient of the award, presented the award at the recent
Change of Watch Meeting.
The Award is traditionally given to the one
person who has made themselves stand out during that sailing
calendar year as someone who has gone "above an beyond"
their expected roles as fleet members.
While not normally awarded to an officer of
the Fleet, the committee felt that Mark displayed unusual courage
(some say massive ignorance,) in accepting the post of Fleet
Captain after his first year as a member. Mark has done an exemplary
job and will use the experience to our benefit as Captain for
a second year. Hear-Hear, Mark.

| Useful Links |
| We weren't going to have a "links"
section as there are so many other places to find useful links online.
However, these are particularly useful and important as items of
safety and education that we think it worthwhile having them here. |
